MeLE PCG02 Stick PC

Inside is the standard Intel N100: four Gracemont cores, 6MB of cache and a 3.4GHz boost, with UHD Graphics that decode H.264, HEVC, VP9 and AV1 in hardware. That is desktop-class for office apps, browsers, video calls and 4K signage loops, in a stick that earlier generations filled with far slower Atom and Celeron chips.

The side of the stick carries the rest of the I/O:

• Full-function USB-C: DisplayPort 1.4 for a second 4K@60Hz screen, data, and USB PD 3.0 power input.
• USB 3.2 Gen2 USB-A: 10Gbps for a keyboard receiver, webcam or external SSD.
• Gigabit Ethernet: a real RJ45 port, rare on a stick, for steady signage and conference traffic.
• microSD slot: storage expansion up to 1TB.
• Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1: dual-band wireless and pairing for mice, keyboards and headsets.

Two 4K@60Hz screens is the ceiling: one through the HDMI plug, one through USB-C.

How the memory versions fit real jobs:

• 8GB: Windows 11 Pro with Teams or Zoom, an office suite and a browser; signage software with a web dashboard; light Linux server work.
• 4GB: a single-purpose screen such as a menu board, a kiosk browser or a slideshow. Windows 11 alone takes much of 4GB, so keep the load to one app.

Storage is eMMC 5.1 rather than an SSD. eMMC reads and writes more slowly than NVMe, typically a few hundred MB/s at best, so large installs and file copies take longer. Boot times and browsing stay reasonable.

MeLE builds the 128GB Business Grade version with TLC eMMC rated for at least 2,500 program/erase cycles. MeLE estimates a lifespan of 18–20 years at 20GB of writes per day, after allowing for OS reserve and write amplification. For a signage player that logs and caches all day, write endurance matters more than raw speed.

1. 128GB: enough for Windows, a signage client and cached media.
2. 256GB: room for more local video, apps and Windows updates over several years.
3. microSD: cheap overflow for media files, up to 1TB.

Operating system choice stretches the memory further. A lean Linux signage client or a kiosk browser on Ubuntu uses a fraction of what Windows 11 needs, which makes even the 4GB version workable for a single dedicated screen.

Passive cooling makes the case hot. MeLE states a surface temperature of 55–70°C under load, which is normal for fanless systems and within the IEC 62368-1:2018 safety standard. It feels hot to the touch; it is not a fault. Under long heavy loads, a fanless stick can also hold lower clocks than a fan-cooled box, depending on room temperature and airflow.

Placement rules that keep it cool:

• Leave air around the stick; do not tape it flat against the hot back of a TV panel.
• Use the VESA mount so it hangs in free air.
• Keep it out of sealed signage enclosures without ventilation.

The business features target unattended screens. Auto power on restarts the stick after a power cut, which matters for billboards and kiosks where nobody can press a button. Wake-on-LAN, PXE boot and RTC wake handle remote start, network installs and scheduled power-on. A Kensington lock slot deters theft in lobbies and classrooms.

Power runs through USB-C with PD 3.0, so a quality USB-C PD charger can feed it. Use the supplied adapter or one rated for the stick's full draw, since an underpowered phone charger can cause reboots under load.

Pick the PCG02 when the computer must vanish behind a screen or travel in a pocket. Pick the Quieter 4C for a silent desk PC with room to grow. Pick the M10 for faster networking and storage in a case not much bigger than a phone.

The boxes give more memory and storage for their size, but no box plugs straight into a TV. For a meeting room where the screen is fixed to a wall and the computer must stay out of sight and out of reach, the stick format wins on its own terms.

Among the PCG02 versions, the 8GB builds suit most buyers. Business Grade, SE Grade and Pro all share the N100, 8GB and 128GB core in their names; the 256GB version adds room for media, and the 4GB versions fit single-app screens only. Chip-level limits are on the N100 specs page.
